PALOUSE PIXEL & PEN ANIMATION FESTIVAL

2027 will be our inaugural animation festival.If you are an animator living and working regionally (Washington, Idaho, Oregon, British Columbia) submit your animated films. We want to see what you've created. We are accepting short films (up to 30 minutes) in any format (2D, 3D, hand-drawn, digital, stop motion, experimental).If you are an animation aficionado, please join us for an afternoon of short animated films.

Are you an animator or always wanted to be one?Through out 2026 and 2027, we will be hosting monthly get-togethers on the WSU campus in Pullman.Come join us and let's talk process and challenges or just use the time to connect with other animation lovers!

FAQHow do I submit my films?
Visit the link on this website. Your submission should be uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo, or similar service or hosted elsewhere. All you need is a link to your animated movie.Does it need to be completed?
Yes, please have a completed film to share.Can I use AI to produce my animated film?
Yes, but we have a preference for films that reflect human production.Can I submit more than one film?
Yes! If you've got more than one masterpiece in you, feel free to submit multiple projects. Just be aware that we may not accept all of them.Is there a fee to pay?
No. Not for this first event.Will there be a fee to attend the showing?
No. This is an augural event and we are hoping to attract an audience.Can students submit films?
Yes! Definitely.
